Production process of magnesium chloride
1. Salt water and soda ash method
Reactive magnesium oxide can be prepared by reacting refined MgCl solution with refined soda ash solution at around 55 ℃, followed by precipitation, dehydration, rinsing, drying, and finally calcination at 700-900 ℃.
2. Salt water ammonium bicarbonate process
The refined solution reacts with the refined ammonium carbonate solution to generate Mg (CO) 3. Mg (CO) 3 or active MgO can be prepared through processes such as dehydration, drying, and calcination.
3. Salt water ammonium method
Refined magnesium chloride solution reacts with ammonia (or continuously reacts with ammonia gas) to form Mg (OH) 2 precipitation. Prepare Mg (OH) 2 or MgO products through separation, water washing, drying, and calcination.
4. Brine lime method (including dolomite lime method)
The refined solution reacts with lime milk or white cloud lime milk to generate Mg (OH) 2 precipitate, which is then filtered, washed, dried, and calcined to generate Mg (OH) 2 or active MgO.
5. Salt water caustic soda process
Refined MgCl solution reacts with refined caustic soda solution at a certain temperature and concentration to generate hydrogen Mg (OH) 2 precipitate, which is filtered, washed, dried, and calcined to generate active MgO.
6. Salt water ammonium carbonate process
Firstly, prepare an ammonium carbonate precipitant, which involves adding ammonium bicarbonate to a certain concentration of ammonia water to prepare an ammonium carbonate precipitant, and then reacting with the solution to generate magnesium carbonate. Activated magnesium oxide can be prepared after calcination.
7. Salt water carbonization
The refined magnesium chloride solution reacts with alkaline solutions such as lime milk, dolomite lime milk, ammonia water and caustic soda solution to generate magnesium hydroxide suspension, which is carbonation with carbon dioxide to prepare basic magnesium carbonate. Then calcine to prepare active magnesium oxide products, and recover CaCl, NH4Cl, and na4Cl by-products, respectively.
